Position Overview We are seeking a strategic and self-driven Content Manager to lead the development, execution, and optimization of content across all customer touchpoints. This role blends editorial excellence with performance marketing, requiring someone who can create compelling copy, manage product content across retail and digital platforms, and drive results through both organic and paid efforts. You’ll operate as a key individual contributor, working cross-functionally with design, marketing, product, and digital teams to ensure our content performs — not just looks good. Key Responsibilities Content Strategy & Planning Develop and maintain a cohesive content strategy that aligns with brand, performance, and channel-specific goals. Manage the content calendar across Weatherables.com, retail channels (e.g., Amazon, Lowe’s, Home Depot), paid media, and organic platforms. Product & Channel Content Creation Write and maintain accurate, SEO-optimized product descriptions, feature highlights, and supporting content across our owned site and retail distribution channels. Ensure consistent messaging and tone across Weatherables.com, Amazon, Lowe’s, Home Depot, and others. Partner closely with the eCommerce and sales teams to meet each channel’s technical and content standards. Performance Marketing Copywriting Develop high-converting ad copy for Meta, Google, and display campaigns, with attention to A/B testing and audience insights. Write landing pages, retargeting copy, and email content aligned with acquisition and conversion goals. Work with performance marketing leads to evolve messaging based on campaign results. Editorial & Brand Content Create blog posts, website messaging, how-to content, and other brand storytelling assets that drive traffic and engagement. Collaborate with our Graphic Design / Multimedia Content Producer to bring content to life visually and across formats. Web & Platform Collaboration Serve as the content evangelist across our digital platforms, ensuring content is structured, accessible, and optimized for each delivery channel. Collaborate with the Web & Platform Lead to implement, update, and troubleshoot content across CMS and eCommerce tools. Analytics & Optimization Monitor content performance using tools like Google Analytics, Amazon dashboards, and Meta Ads Manager. Refine copy and content strategy based on key performance insights, conversion data, and evolving SEO trends. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. 3–5+ years of experience in content marketing, eCommerce content, or digital advertising. Proven ability to write and optimize content for both retail channels (e.g., Amazon, Lowe’s, Home Depot) and performance marketing platforms (Meta, Google). Solid understanding of SEO, structured product data, and content tagging. Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify) and analytics/reporting tools. Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with attention to detail and a strong grasp of brand tone. Comfortable operating independently, managing your own pipeline, and collaborating with key cross-functional partners. Bonus Points Experience writing for home improvement or D2C eCommerce brands. Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central, Home Depot’s Supplier Hub, or Lowe’s Content Gateway. Proficiency in basic HTML/CSS or content editing within Shopify or headless CMS frameworks. Experience using AI tools for content creation, automation, or optimization Knowledge of structured data/schema markup for product listings. Understanding of Google Merchant Center or feed optimization tools. Exposure to A/B testing platforms (e.g., Google Optimize, Convert) for content performance testing. Ability to brainstorm and collaborate on creative visual storytelling with design/video colleagues.
