Job Description
Job Title: Direct Support Professional
Job Requirement: DSP I and/or II training, cleared fingerprints, physical and TB test, CPR and 1st Aid
Job Description: As a DSP I or II, you are providing direct care to all residents. This can include but isn’t limited to:
Supervision or hands-on assistance with hygiene: teeth brushing, hair washing, bathing, dressing, nail care
Screen residents, visitors, and staff as required for COVID-19. Notify owner or Medical Coordinator if an individual is symptomatic. Work with residents to follow COVID-19 safety procedures.
Medication assistance/dispensing, packing medication
Transporting residents in company cars as assigned
Providing 1st aid and summoning medical attention
Laundry, housekeeping/cleaning
Professional interactions with resident jobs/programs and families
Meal Service
Tidying of resident’s personal space and belongings
Providing direct care to and engaging with residents in a respectful, caring manner at all times
Scheduling/canceling transportation
Completing assigned training as directed by your supervisor by required deadline
Other duties as requested by your supervisor.
Physical Demands:
• Ability to lift twenty-five (25) pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Fine motor skills
• Visual acuity
