Piper Companies is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer to work on-site in Morrisville, NC Monday through Friday . The ideal Hardware Design Engineer has extensive experience in digital board design for telecommunications products, focusing on PCB-level design and system integration. Responsibilities of the Hardware Design Engineer: Lead the digital board design and development of hardware components and systems, ensuring they meet performance, quality, and cost objectives. Participate in all stages of hardware development, from definition and design to qualification and product release. Oversee the entire board processing and manufacturing lifecycle, from prototyping to mass production. Use Cadence Concept, Allegro, and Orcad for schematic capture. Conduct thorough testing and validation of hardware designs to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Qualifications of the Hardware Design Engineer: ~5+ years' experience in digital circuit board design and system-level development, with a focus on high reliability products ~ Skilled in using Cadence Concept, Allegro, and OrCAD for schematic capture ~ Proficiency with test and debug tools such as telecom traffic generators, logic analyzers, signal analyzers and oscilloscopes ~ BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience ~ Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance Compensation for the Hardware Design Engineer: Salary Range: $125,000 - $145,000 annually.
