RES is seeking a Regulatory Specialist II with at least 2 years of experience to support our Sacramento, CA office. The mission: RES is operating in a unique and inspiring industry. You will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shape RES' West Region with your work! How? Armed with the knowledge of existing local, State, and federal regulatory processes, you will support efforts relevant to required regulatory authorizations for ecological restoration projects, including preparing permit applications and supporting documentation, and coordinating regulatory analyses and graphics with our GIS specialists. A Day in the Life 80% of the time you will be working on permitting applications and participating in project coordination. Working with the Regional team of project managers, ecologists, engineers, construction managers, and GIS specialists, you will be drafting and compiling technical documents and reports in support of permitting applications for submittal to the relevant regulatory agencies. You will be interpreting and applying data and concepts including ecological data, cultural resource information, construction methods and protocols, compliance measures and ecosystem restoration design plans ensuring applications include project-specific details and analysis to support a complete application submittal in support of obtaining regulatory authorizations coinciding with Project milestones. Be ready to showcase your technical writing skills, as well as knowledge of data analysis and organization during the interview process! 20% of your time will be spent participating in internal team meetings at the office and in virtual meetings, you will be participating in team meetings discussing project progress, timelines, critical path tasks, and other topics relevant to entitling and permitting restoration and/or mitigation projects.
