$15.50/hourFREE YMCA MembershipQUALIFICATIONS: Strong interpersonal skills, solid verbal and written communications skills, knowledgeable in the realm of fitness, and current acceptable personal training certificationBASIC FUNCTION: Administer wellness programming for all ages of YMCA membersin accordance to the association mission, goals and objectives.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform effective Personal Training sessionsMake sure proper paperwork is completed before conducting training sessions with clientsBe aware of the YMCA programs and schedules and willingly share the information with participantsSuggest improvements, safety concerns with equipment, and other ideals that will increase membershipLight troubleshooting with fitness equipment if malfunctioningMonitoring exercises being performed by members and offering suggestions for improved techniques and ensuring their safetyAttend trainings and staff meetings when scheduledEnforce all Wellness Center rulesSchedule appointments with personal training clientsMaintain professional conduct and a neat appearance consistent with the Wellness Dress PolicyMaintain direct communication to supervisorBe social with all membersWill perform all other functions as assigned, relative to the welfare of the associationMust maintain updated CECs (Continuing Education Classes) to maintain your current status with the YMCA standards for Personal Training including CPR.OUR CULTURE:At the Y, strengthening community is our cause.
