Parker Palm Springs

ashleigh-leech-someform-parker-palm-springs-01 I’d always wanted to see the mid-century architecture of Palm Springs, so after a trip to Coachella we went for a little drive around town. In my dreams we would spend a whole week staying at the Parker in Palm Springs, but sadly it’s a little out of our budget! Instead we settled for popping in for breakfast on the patio at Norma’s and exploring the beautiful interiors.

We were greeted by the iconic orange doors before entering the wonderful Jonathan Adler designed spaces inside. With pieces from a wide range of periods, the result is unique and eclectic and a whole lot of fun. Originally the first Holiday Inn in California, the now boutique hotel has sprawling grounds that include croquet, pétanque, swimming pools and palm trees galore. While we did enjoy our spiked smoothies in the sunshine, next time I hope we’ll stay a whole lot longer!
