Located on an island near Gothenburg in Sweden the Morran House was designed by Johannes Norlander Arkitektur. As part of the renovation of the existing structure, the outside was coated in tar, the same traditional method used on wooden boats. I’m into the combination of exposed timber and black (as always), but here the execution between the indoors and outdoors creates a striking contrast.
