Corkellis House was designed and built by Kathryn Tyler, an interior designer with her own practice Linea Studio. Located in southwest England in Falmouth, Cornwall – I first saw this beautiful home when it was profiled on Grand Designs. Built in her parents’ back garden, this Scandinavian style space was inspired by Swedish summer houses visited by Tyler during her childhood. The home was designed around her wonderful vintage Danish furniture collection, amassed while thrifting during her student years. My favorite detail is the stair/shelf combination that displays the colourful cookware collection in the kitchen.
