When I was younger, I remember spending hours helping my family scrape geometric wallpaper off my grandparents walls with a credit card. It was a long and tedious group effort that removed all evidence of the sixties ever happening in their home. The experience must have scarred me, as wallpaper has always remained one of those things that seemed far too permanent for my liking.
However times have changed and these days we have everything from vinyl wall stickers to removable wallpaper, temporary options that give renters loads of options and tons of flexibility. With wallpaper there’s so many things to get right – the pattern and design, the colours, the contrast and the scale. While my tendencies for our house are more towards subtle, minimalist geometric designs, I wanted to collate some of my favorites. The kind of designs I adore, but could never quite imagine in our home!
