Black Walls

Since I started noticing black walls in nearly every design blog I read, I’ve become obsessed with painting our apartment walls black. There’s something frightening about painting walls the darkest shade possible, but also something incredible about the contrast it can create when paired with white. Inspired by Daniel at Manhattan Nest, Anna at Door Sixteen and Morgan at The Brick House – I’m thinking of starting small in the bedroom, an inky black wall with crisp white linens. I’d love to be able to defy the myth that dark paint makes a space feel small. And our bedroom is teeny tiny. Here’s some of the rooms that planted the seed.
