Located in Montauk, about 120 miles from Manhattan – The Surf Lodge is a hotel, restaurant and bar just across Fort Pond bay from Rushmeyers. A place to stay while enjoying the surf and sun in the Hamptons, we stopped in for some mojitos on the deck at sunset.
Full of turquoise and yellow, the interiors feel like a luxury beach vacation and the lodge includes an Australian themed restaurant Byron; along with Surf Bazaar, a store selling designer swimsuits and other treasures.
In the evenings, live summer concerts draw crowds that turn the deck into a club, so be sure to head there early and enjoy the calm before the storm.
