Located in the middle of Joshua Tree National Park, the Cholla Cactus Garden is home to acres of this prickly plant. Sitting in the Pinto Basin in the Colorado Desert portion of the park, the climate is drier and these little guys thrive. Nicknamed the teddy-bear cactus, thousands of this spiked species blanket the landscape and glow in the sunshine.
