Happy Valentines

We don’t exactly celebrate Valentines Day, so these cherry blossoms are as close as it’s going to get! I saw these at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden during their Sakura Matsuri a few years ago. It won’t be too much longer before we finally get to see them bloom here in Japan. The weather has been unusually warm this weekend in Tokyo, which was spent dining with friends and watching some of my students compete (and win) in the regional speech contest. After all their months of hard work, they were incredible! So proud!
